Health Savings Accounts (HSAs)
Take control of your own health care expenses with a
federal tax-exempt Peoples Bank of Wisconsin Health Savings Account. Contributions can be made by you, your employer, or both, to pay for current and future medical expenses for you and your family.
You can establish an HSA if:
You are covered by a High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP)
You are not covered by other health insurance
You are not enrolled in Medicare
You are not claimed as a dependent on someone else's tax return
You are over the age of 18.
Eligibility requirements are based on IRS guidelines. If you are unsure if you qualify for an HSA, please consult your tax advisor and health plan administrator for eligibility.
There is a small fee associated to the account. Please visit with your personal banker for current rate information. The funds in your account are rolled over year-to-year if not used. HSAs have:
Unlimited check-writing.
No transaction fees.
Monthly statements.
Earn interest on your HSA account.
No minimum balance.
