Certificates of Deposit (CDs)
Earn greater interest than you would with a savings account with a Peoples Bank of Wisconsin Certificate
of Deposit. You decide the amount of money to put in
your certificate and the term.
Certificates of Deposit (CDs) are similar to savings accounts in that they are insured and thus virtually risk-free. They are different from savings accounts in that the CD has a specific, fixed rate and term. It is intended that the CD be held until maturity, at which time the money may be withdrawn together with the accrued interest. In exchange for keeping the money on deposit for a fixed term, you receive a higher interest rate than you would if the money was in a savings account. The longer the term, the higher the interest rate.
You can start earning interest on as little as $1,000.
The maturity is flexible and ranges from 91 days to four years.
Competitive interest rates are based on current market conditions.
Safety and virtually risk-free because they are insured by the FDIC.
Special rates and terms are offered periodically, contact us for details.
Several interest payment options are available.
There is a penalty for early withdrawal.
