GA BASICS • Receive a minimum of $400 in monthly direct deposits of your primary source of income. • Login to Netteller online banking a minimum of once per statement cycle. • Receive your monthly account statement electronically. • Process electronic debit transactions. • Requirements met during your monthly statement cycle will determine the rate of interest that will be paid for that given statement cycle.
Helpful Q&A
- What is a Signature Based Debit Transaction?
When you swipe your card at a checkout line and are asked or prompted to pay by debit or credit, your option should be 'credit'. A sales slip will be generated for you to sign.
- If I swipe my card at a gas pump or at a quick service food store, does my transaction get posted as a Signature Based Debit Transaction?
Yes. When you swipe your card and are not prompted to select debit or credit, your transaction will most likely process as a signature based debit (credit) transaction.
- All of the information I have received states that the new requirements go into effect August 1st. Does that mean I need to meet all of the requirements by August 31st?
Actually, the transition to the new Green Advantage account begins on August 1st. The transaction requirements will start on the first day of your STATEMENT CYCLE, not the first day of the month. For example: If your statement date is normally the 5th of every month, our system will begin tracking your activity according to the new requirements on the 6th of each month.
- If I fail to meet the requirements during this statement cycle, will I still have an opportunity to qualify during the next statement cycle?
Yes, each month is viewed as a new requirement period. Requirements must be met during each statement cycle.
- Can the interest rate change on my Green Advantage checking account?
Yes. This is a variable rate account and the rate may change at any time.
- Do ATM Withdrawals get applied to the transaction requirements?
ATM withdrawals do not qualify for meeting the transaction requirements.
- If I complete my transactions prior to the last day of my statement cycle but those transactions do not show as processing through my account for several days, will I still meet the monthly requirements?
All required transactions MUST be posted to your account prior to the end of your statement cycle in order to meet the requirements.
- What rate of interest will I earn if I do not meet any of the qualifications?
If you are unable to meet all of the qualifications listed in the 'GA Basics' section in any given statement cycle, the rate associated with our World Class interest bearing checking account will be paid at the end of the statement cycle. Contact a Peoples Bank of Wisconsin staff member for current rate information.
